Q. Is there a catalog for online books or ebooks available through Vanguard Library?

Yes, there is a way to only see the eBooks available in the library catalog when doing a search for your topic/title/author.

Go to www.vanguard.edu/academics/library and click on the blue box link that says "click here for VANCAT".

Next, type in keywords for your topic or subject (ex. grace) in the search box and hit enter.

Now you will see your search results and can then filter by type on the left side. Click on the check box for "ebook" and the results will refresh to show only the ebook results on your search.

From there you can click on the "access online" button of the ebook you choose, or click on the title to see more info and click on "view ebook" (both methods will get you to the online ebook). Since you are off campus, you will be prompted with a sign in page and your username and password will be the same as your MYVU sign in information.

These ebooks come from our two ebook databases (Ebook Central and EBSCO Ebooks under the E expandable section on the library main/home webpage), and, instead of searching in each one individually, this method of searching in VANCAT and filtering for ebook results can save you the most time.
